What you need to get started

We check every collector before they can see a single job. It protects customers, and it protects you from being undercut by people cutting corners.

Photo ID

A valid passport or UK driving licence. Make sure the whole document is visible.

Proof of address

A utility bill, bank statement or council tax letter from the last three months.

Waste carrier licence

Your registration with the Environment Agency, SEPA, NRW or NIEA. Required to carry waste for others.

Public liability insurance

Your certificate of insurance showing cover level and expiry date.

Motor insurance

Insurance for the vehicle you will collect with, including business or hire-and-reward use.

Vehicle registration (V5C)

The V5C logbook for the vehicle you will be using.

Business registration

Companies House certificate or proof of sole-trader registration.

You must be a registered waste carrier

In the UK it is a legal requirement to be registered with the Environment Agency, SEPA, Natural Resources Wales or the NIEA to carry waste belonging to someone else. Registration is inexpensive and can be done online. We will ask for your registration number and check it before approving you.
